Your CV is an opportunity to sell yourself ; it gets you noticed and makes it easy for potential employers to evaluate your suitability for the job.

A key point to remember is that your CV will only receive a few minutes attention; it must give off the right signals immediately.

  • Your CV should be clear, concise and no more than 2 pages
  • Place emphasis on different areas of experience relating to the position you are applying for but never lie
  • Begin with personal information including name, address, date of birth and phone number etc., next list relevant qualifications and grades
  • With regards to career history, start with the most recent job and work backwards
  • Include a brief profile of yourself and also list a few outside interests
  • Always double check spelling and grammar and include a covering letter when applying
